The Infertility Battle – You are NOT Condemned to Lose

The infertility battle is not one that you are condemned to lose. Even though month after month the challenge at hand may feel like you’ll never see the end of it, when you look at what God has said about it, you’ll see that things are not as He would have them to be.

How can you win the infertility battle when it feels like it will never end?

Here are some tips to put you on the path to experience victory:

  1. Discover, remember, and speak God’s promises of fertility (Joshua 1:8).
  2. God’s Word says that nothing is too hard for Him so infertility is not too hard for Him (Genesis 18:14).
  3. Worship the Lord, keeping your mind focused on Jesus’ love so that you can enjoy His soothing peace (Isaiah 26:3).
  4. Believe God. God does not lie, His promises are true. Not one word of God’s promises will ever fail you (1 Kings 8:56).
  5. Persevere; use the Word like Jesus did (Matthew 4:4).
  6. Choose to use your words to speak Life to your life. Speak (out loud) God’s Word to your circumstances (Proverbs 18:21).
  7. Anchor your hope in the truth of God’s Word. He has a plan for you and it is all good (Jeremiah 29:11)!
  8. Resist the devil’s attempt to make you doubt God’s integrity (James 4:7).
  9. Speak to the mountain and tell it to move out of your life (Mark 11:23).
  10. Allow God’s Word to be THE source of life in everything you do. His words are health to all your flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22).

Surrender your fertility to God.

I recently heard Minister Erica Moore teach about how Hannah, an infertile woman in Bible, gave her child to God even before she got pregnant (1 Samuel 1). Her surrender of what she deeply desired was an act of trust in God. Hannah did not allow that desire to become an idol; it would not be something that displaced God from first place in her mind and heart. She chose focus on God more than she focused on having a baby. This act of surrender was an act of generosity as well as an act of worship.

Erica prayed that prayer because she desired to have another child. Circumstances didn’t appear that it would likely happen. However, months later, Erica was pregnant! She has since given birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Victory was found in the surrendering!

Reign in Life

You’ve been graced to reign in life (Romans 5:17). You can face this infertility battle with confidence, knowing that God is there with you. You are NOT condemned to lose. Stand your ground speaking and believing His Word, knowing that He’s fighting your battle so that you can be victorious.

When you get in synch with God’s Word, you experience a higher frequency and higher level of victory!

Monday’s Marinade – No Fear

Trust or Doubt?

TRUST. It’s something with which we all have issues.

Here are my notes from my time with God this morning. I hope you find them encouraging!

Doubt is the consequence of distance.

Doubt arises and increases when we have distanced ourselves from the Word. [Remember, Jesus IS the Word.]

Doubt infiltrates our mind and circumstances. It reduces our trust in God because we’ve been distracted from His promises.

Doubt is our automatic response when we don’t look to Jesus’ love for us.

 

Trust is the consequence of closeness.

Trust is the result of increasingly drawing nearer to God through His Word.

Trust infiltrates our mind and our circumstances. It erases doubt when we focus on Jesus, and are consistent in verbally  affirming God’s promises.

Trust is our automatic response when we continue looking to Jesus in the Word and acknowledging His love for us.

Confidence Boosters

How’s your confidence in God today? Is it higher than it’s ever been?

Are you finding it to be easy to trust that His promises are true for your life?

Or are you needing something to boost your confidence in His love for you as you struggle through infertility?

The best thing I’ve found that builds my confidence in God is — wait for it — God’s Word. Does that surprise you? The Bible tells us that everything we need in life can be found in God’s Word, we just have to search the Scriptures for the promise that applies to our specific situation.

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him.” 2 Peter 1:3 NLT

We come to “know Him,” as that verse points out, by reading the Bible, relying on the Holy Spirit to help us understand the Word and how to apply it to our lives.

Here are a few scriptures that should build your confidence in God. I pray that as you read them and say them to yourself out loud (because faith comes by hearing – Rom 10:17),  you’ll be empowered to rely on Him even more than you do now.

“You love them as much as You love Me.”  John 17:23

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV

The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14 NIV

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!” Hebrews 10:35 NLT

What About Me, God?

Have you ever found yourself asking the question, “What about me, God?” If you’re struggling with infertility, you might ask that question frequently. Maybe every time you see your friend with her newborn. Or when you’re at the park and see kids on the playground. Even at church when parents have their infant dedicated to the Lord. Your heart may cry out often and that’s OK.  Just make sure you’re listening for His answer just as frequently!

How do you attune your ears to hear Him?

How do you listen for His encouraging words to soothe the pain of waiting?

Do you focus on His love for you?

Sometimes we get so focused on the problem of infertility, we forget to look to the Source of the answer to the problem— God’s love. You may not doubt that God can heal you. But do you find yourself doubting that He will heal you? Jesus, in Matthew 8:3, reassured the leper who wanted to be healed that He was not only able to heal him but that He was also willing to heal him. Then, in His loving way, Jesus reached out and touched the man who had a very contagious disease and had not been touched by another human being in who knows how long. That touch of compassion helped the man feel accepted and loved.

Can you see yourself in that situation? Can you see that Jesus loves YOU? That He wants you to believe that He is willing to change your circumstances? Jesus was the physical manifestation of God’s love (John 3:16). When you look to Him as being your source, you stay focused on the display of God’s love for you and begin to see His Light and Life in your life.

Remember, let your focus be on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) so you can grow in your confidence of God’s love for you. You’ll experience more peace and maintain hope as keep the eyes of your heart on the manifestation of His love for you.

Focus Friday
