Monday’s Marinade is provided to you as a means of “soaking yourself” in the hope-filled Word of God at the beginning of your week. Start your week by meditating on this Word. Repeatedly think about and quietly say it to yourself. Marinate and season your week with hope and a confident expectation of good things happening!
Here’s your spiritual marinade for this week:

I am so honored that God is using me as a vessel to bring this special weekend of R&R to those women who battle the daily grind of infertility. The R&R in this instance stands for Rest and Receive. This intimate gathering starts on Friday, May 30 in Phoenix, AZ.
Join us for a weekend of:
This will be much more than a “Calgon moment.” You’ll be allowed to turn off all the infertility stressors from your everyday life and plug into God’s promises so you can Rest and Receive.
It’s an all-inclusive weekend—your registration fee covers your lodging, meals, and workshop materials— and I hope you’ll be a part of it.
If you’re not personally affected by infertility but know someone who is, consider gifting them a weekend away so they can shift their focus from the despair of infertility to being hope-filled in God’s promises of fertility.

I know what you’re thinking…Goddess of Fertility??? Before you think I’ve really lost it, let me introduce you to a new friend I met as I was preparing for the National Infertility Awareness Week, #NIAW.
Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing Donna McIntosh, the Goddess of Fertility. Donna, who personally experienced infertility, has made it her mission to help couples understand the role NUTRITION plays in overcoming infertility. She holds a Master’s in Holistic Nutrition and has a background in massage therapy. Donna believes that sub-optimal fertility is often related to sub-optimal health. She seeks to empower both women and men to positively influence their fertility with their food and lifestyle choices. She also acknowledges the spiritual aspect of infertility.
Donna’s individualized services and programs are all virtual – meaning it doesn’t matter where a client lives. She consults via computer and phone, either individually or in groups. She has worked with people in many U.S. cities as well as in London, England. Donna also works as a consultant with various IVF clinics in southern California. Take a look at her free report available on her website at The Goddess of Fertility.com.
I hope you’ll enjoy our interview where she explains how she got the name “Goddess of Fertility” and shares some specific tips that may help you.

Last year I announced that my submission for an infertility reading plan on the YouVersion website had been approved. Here’s a snippet from that post:
Recently, I received a request from a reader to write a Bible study plan that specifically addresses infertility and post it on the YouVersion Bible website. [According to their website, “YouVersion is a simple, ad-free Bible that brings God’s Word into your daily life,” via your phone, tablet or computer.]
Because I know how much enlightenment comes from reading the Bible, I thought it was a wonderful idea and followed up on that suggestion.
I’m glad to say that I submitted a proposal to YouVersion and they have approved it!
To say the least, I am very excited about providing this resource to bring hope to those in the midst of infertility and to encourage people around the world that infertility is not too hard for the Lord! (Genesis 8:14)
Well, I’m THRILLED to tell you that the plan will go live on the YouVersion site on Thursday, April 10, 2014! Woo Hoo!! Presently, it will be the ONLY reading plan on that site that addresses infertility. Thanks so much to the reader who suggested I provide the plan [you know who you are :)].
I hope this plan is only the first of many that I’ll be able to provide through this wonderful Bible app.
If you haven’t already downloaded the YouVersion app, get it now. I’ll update you soon with more details.

The weather should be beautiful!
I’ll be at the Authors Table sharing my books, A Seed of Hope: God’s Promises of Fertility, and Infertility Sucks! How to Maintain Hope in Your Marriage During Infertility. Please stop by and introduce yourself. I’d love to meet you, encourage you, and give you gift.
